Megan Leone Kavanaugh created her first signature bracelet handbag in November 2004. She wanted to design a unique, highly functional and fashionable handbag that was versatile enough to go from working to shopping to clubbing. The bags are all one-of-a-kind and made primarily of vintage materials. In April 2005, she founded Megan Leone Designs. In addition to her bracelet purses, she designs jewelry and modifies vintage clothing.
Born and raised in southern Minnesota, Megan earned a bachelor's degree at South Dakota State University. She went on to attain an associate's degree in fashion design at FIT in New York City, where she lived for two years. Megan has lived in Seattle since autumn 2004.
