This summer has been fun and filled with friends and family getting married. I recently attend two weddings back home. I had an amazing time and had a lot of laughs with friends and family.
At our friends Aaron and Teresa’s wedding, my friend Sarah asked her little boy what he thought about all the cute girls on the dance floor. He turned to his Mom and said there is no prettier girl than the bride. He then left his chair, walked up to Teresa and got himself a slow dance. A home-wrecker in the makings? I doubt it, but he certainly is smooth. He and his mom had breakfast with Chris and I the morning after we got married. When it was time to go he asked for a kiss goodbye. I asked him if he wanted a kiss on the cheek or on the lips. He looked at me with serious eyes and said, “On the lips.” As soon as he got his kiss goodbye, he walked to the other side of the table where my husband was sitting. He looked at him with the same serious eyes and said “I kissed your wife”. We’re still not sure if it was a confession or a challenge. Either way, it is one of my favorite memories from that weekend.
The first picture above is the shower gift I gave Teresa. It is one of my bridal garter belts that has a small pocket. She made me cry when she told me the contents: a crucifix necklace from her Mom, lipstick and (best of all) a note Aaron gave her the morning of the wedding. Who needs a tissue? Congratulations Aaron & Teresa!
